I became enthused about jewellery two years ago, when serving, what I lovingly call my 10-month sentence in Germany. Stranded in a less-than-charming German university campus amongst the suspicious German-speaking natives in order to do some exchange studying, I gave up trying to achieve a busy social life and figured I need to do something. I sew clothing, both period and fashionable, for fun at home. So I figured there's got to be something creative I can do with my hands in Germany, in order to stop them stuffing my face with all sorts of munchables. Lo and behold, there was. Jewellery.

Beading makes me feel like this:
Serene, earthy, mellow, collected, in the moment. You know the feeling of walking on dampish moss in a fragrant summer forest? Just like that.
